PORTEOUS ROLL OF HONOUR

A list of all known Porteous family members who fell in action

This site lists all men (and one woman) who were killed in action, or died as a result of wounds, injury, ill health resulting from the two World Wars and the Vietnam War, and whose graves (or memorial where there is no known grave) are registered with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission or the US Department of Defense.

A further webpage contains a list of all those Porteous warriors (of all services, and civilians) who were decorated.

Also included is a list of 95 cemeteries in which the graves are situated and 24 memorials on which the names of those who have no known grave are inscribed, in places as far apart as Australia and Tunisia, Egypt and Pakistan, France and Singapore – nineteen countries in all.
